Tree and Shrub Plant Health Care
Investing time and money in the heath of your plantings goes a long way in preserving the value and beauty of your landscape. While there are many things you can do yourself, like watering and mulching, there are some things that may require help from professionals.
Everything Green offers a full program for scouting problems, and maintaining the health and vigor of your trees and shrubs. An application of dormant oil in the early spring, prior to bud break will control overwintering insects and any eggs laid. We will then be on the property four additional times for scouting and insect and disease applications. These visits are based on an integrated pest management system, meaning that at certain times there may not be anything affecting some or all of your plantings, so no specific treatments are necessary. The final application would be a fall deep root feeding.
These visits can be tailored to suit your individual landscape needs. We also offer tree injections, which are designed to treat certain pests, including insecticides and fungicides aimed to prevent such things as Emerald Ash Borer and Dutch Elm's Disease . Others are to improve the health and appearance of plantings, for instance iron chlorosis to birch trees. Other situations for using injections would be for older mature trees (usually greater than 40' in height) which would be too large to effectively treat with a spray, and minimizing off target drift. Another example would be to treat trees in close proximity to water or aquatic life.
Everything Green offers ornamental pruning in the dormant season, and can subcontract larger removals, or cabling and bracing through its sister company, Fox Valley Tree Service.
“Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.” Abraham Lincoln
